"Stress levels may be decreased by using a brush.  One study found that second lactation cows with access to rotating cow brushes resulted in 2 lb. milk production increase and fewer incidences of clinical mastitis compared to cows without access to the brushes.

For years, cows have used fence posts or trees as a natural way to brush themselves. Now, in todays barns, cattle are limited in the ways they can brush themselves. The benefits of being able to brush themselves are:

 - No more hideouts for parasites.
- Stimulates and makes blood circulation more regular.
- Cattle are cleaner, happier, and healthier.
